- 80NSSC17Q0430 RFQ STATEMENT OF WORK High Pressure LH2 Pump Drive and Cold End Rebuild 1.Objective/Requirements The Rocket Propulsion Testing Division at Stennis Space Center (SSC) requires the use of High Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Pumps to achieve the pressures required for rocket engine component testing. The two currently installed pumps at SSC's E Complex require refurbishment to a like new status. These pumps are manufactured by ACD and have Model 3GA/GU drives (One on each pump, 2 total) and GAPD Hydrogen Cold Ends (3 on each pump, 6 total). 2.Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The contractor shall perform the following duties: •Drive tear down, repair and refurbishment, reassembly, and test as needed. This will include at a minimum: oTear down and evaluate oReplacement of all bearings oReplacement of all required seals and softgoods oClean parts oFlush and clean oil lines to ensure no particulates or contaminants are present oReplace oil union as needed oMeasure and evaluate all parts and replace as needed. This should include all critical surfaces and measurements. Parts shall be replaced as needed. This will include at a minimum the crankshaft, eccentrics, intermediates, connecting rods, and crosshead pistons oPaint and assemble •Tear down, repair and refurbishment, reassembly, and test as needed of Hydrogen Cold Ends. This will include at a minimum: oTear down and evaluate oReplacement of all seals, o-rings, piston rings, Poppets, and other standard softgoods oSuction valve lapping oEvaluation and replacement if needed of all other parts oAssembly and finish oPull a vacuum down to 5 microns or less oPressure testing as needed 3.Place of Performance Vendor's facility 4.Period of Performance Estimated about 8 weeks
