- supply and deliver one (1)) new two diver air control and communication system with heating element to Lock and Dam 3 in Welch, MN 1. SCOPE The contractor shall supply and deliver one (1)) new two diver air control and communication system with heating element to Lock and Dam 3 in Welch, MN. 2. NEEDS DESCRIPTION The communication system will be used for dive team operations at the project sites. 3. SPECIFICATIONS The communication system shall be Amron Amcommand TM II Model 8225-HP-H Two Diver Air Control and Communications System with Heating Element or equal by meeting or exceeding the following requirements: High Pressure Side: • High air pressure inputs shall include color coded SCUBA bottle yokes with air hose whips. • Each input shall have a 0-5000 PSIG gauge and shut off valve to monitor and switch from one high pressure air source to the other. • Check valves to provide protection against back flow of air from a full tank into an empty when switching high pressure air tanks. • Pressure reducing regulator to reduce high pressure air to low pressure with pre-regulator in-line filter. • Output pressure monitoring gauge • Relief valve to prevent over-pressurization. Low Pressure Side: • Input check valve to allow switching to back-up high pressure air in the event of low pressure air failure. • Commercial diver umbilical air connection shall have an oxygen-type fitting Hardwire Communications: • 2-Diver hardwire communicator, with rechargeable batteries with external charger and noise canceling hand-held push-to-talk microphone. Depth Monitoring System: • High precision depth gauge • Air low pressure alarm monitoring air pressure supplied to the divers, with audio alarm Heating Element: • Heating cable to allow for diving in low air temperatures. The heating cable shall warm the HP input and regulator section of manifold panel. • Element shall have standard plug connect 120 VAC heater 5. DELIVERY DUE DATE The system shall be delivered on or before 02 January 2018. 6. SHIPMENT The bid price shall include the cost of shipping to the destination site. Shipment shall be prepaid and made at the Contractor's expense. Shipment addresses and point of contacts are: 1) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lock & Dam 3 Attn: Tim Tabery Lock and Dam 3 4330 Lock and Dam Rd, Welch, MN 55089-9644 651-290-5060 The Contractor shall notify the government of the shipment at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery date. Delivery shall be between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. CST Monday thru Friday, except on Government holidays. Any delivery arriving after 3:00 P.M. will not be accepted by Government personnel until the next work period as designated above.
