North American Classification System (NAICS) Code: 424690 Small business size standard: 150 Classification Code: 68 - Chemical and Chemical Products Set-aside Status: Not applicable. Competition Status: This requirement is posted as non-competitive. Non-Competitive (Single-sole Source (Including brand-name)) Determination: This notice of proposed acquisition is posted as an intent to award a purchase order on a non-competitive basis to Carbosynth, LLC, 7887 Dunbrook Road, Suite F, San Diego, CA 92126. Description of Requirement: The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain Ac-muramyl-Ala-D-Glu(Lys(stearoyl)-OH)-NH2 for the Pharmaceutical Collection (NPC). National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences(NCATS) NPC library requires Ac-muramyl-Ala-D-Glu. The NPC library is composed of a collection of drugs that are approved for human and/or animal clinical trials and is constantly screened at NCATS to identify drugs that can potentially be repurposed for new diseases that are beyond their original indications. The required compound is an approved drug in the past eight years that will be included as part of the screening protocol. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this Request For Quotation (RFQ) to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Refer to attached "Purchase Description Attachment" for equipment requirements and evaluation criteria and methodology. Summary Statement: All responses to this Request For Quotation (RFQ) must be received by 5 PM Eastern Standard Time, on September 20, 2017 and must reference the announcement number specified above. In addition, the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size must be included in the response.
