Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. This sources sought uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the products required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. Requirement Description Model Number Sapphire Epidural Primary Sapphire Infusion Set with yellow-striped tubing, nonvented piercing pin, 2 slide clamps, cassette, backcheck valve and spin male luer lock adapter 16374-01 AC Adapter 16355-01 Pole Clamp (with splitter) 16313-01 Knob Key 16358-01 Bolus Cord 16320-01 Drug Library Editor 16367-01 User Manual 16359-01 250 ML Lockbox 16394-01 500 ML Lockbox 16315-01 RS232 4 Port Adapter 16361-01 Sapphire Communication Cable 16353-01 Drug Library Training & Implementation Pump Implementation & Go-Live Salient Characteristics: (8) Eight Epidural Infusion Pumps unique pumping system design Cassette door that is not an integral part of pumping process Cassette door must be on right side Precise infusing rate at +2.5% accuracy Resistant to fluid and dust ingress to ensure longer equipment life Made with Lexan housing material to reduce potential for impact damage if dropped Lockbox and accessories to allow controlled substances to be secured Ability to program multiple preset infusion rates The Contractor shall furnish all items within thirty (30) days of contract award and train nursing staff, pharmacy staff on software and biomed staff on hardware within 2 weeks of the delivery of the units, day of delivery and for the first three cases. The epidural pump must have patient controlled epidural analgesia functionality. The epidural pump system must be compatible with the following drugs: bupivacaine, hydromorphone, and morphine.  This list is not meant to be all inclusive. The epidural pump requires tubing with yellow stripe and WITHOUT additional injection ports on the tubing, to prevent inadvertent administration of other drugs by the epidural route. The tubing supplied will have universal luer lock connection tip so that standard medication syringes (50 or 60 ml size) with luer lock connection will be compatible.   A separate custom syringe or syringe with integrated tubing will not be required or will be included at no cost to the facility. NOTE: OFFERORS MUST PROVIDE DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE, TO INCLUDE CURRENT WARRANTY PROVISIONS TO SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT S EVALUATION OF THE OFFERED PRODUCT(S).
