Description

Capability Statement NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Engine JT9D-7J on wing testing. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Kalitta Maintenance, LLC, 818 Willow Run Airport, Ypsilanti, Michigan, 48198-0889 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that Kalitta is the sole provider of Engine JT9D-7J on-wing testing per Boeing 747 Aircraft Maintenance Manual 71-00-00 beginning on page 501, 'Power Plant - Adjustment/Test,' Test 14 - Replacement Engine Test, Test 8 - Engine Vane Control (EVC) Trim, Test 9 - Fuel Control Trim and equipment to support Test 11- Vibration Survey.
