Description
Solicitation The objective of this Statement of Work is to provide six (6) Portable Tower Systems with door-to-door delivery to Osan AirBase, Republic of Korea. This is a brand name or equal procurement. This tower must be built in a trailer configuration that can be towed and redeployed between locations with a 2-person team. It must include a DC winch powered tower, capable of extending to a maximum height of 79 feet, and 87 feet with an antenna mast within 15 minutes. Its tilting system must meet Human Factors Engineering requirements (MIL-Std-1472). The tower must include a manual winch bypass. The tower must be able to withstand a maximum payload of 350 pounds, and withstand winds up to a maximum of 70 mph. The tower must also include a safety stop locking mechanism feature. Additionally, it must be fitted with a 4 guy wire system at each section of the tower to be used for extra stabilization, if needed. It must also have the capability to interface with and utilize commercial power to run all powered mechanisms and safety features. Also, the trailer must have a DC generator capable of supplying required power to raise the tower, and supply power to all electrical components. The trailer must include 4 swing-out outrigger arms for trailer stabilization, as well as a leveling system with a maximum 8,000 pound capacity. The tower must include work lights that illuminate the tower during limited visibility such as fog or nighttime operations. The tower must also include aircraft safety lights that serve as aircraft warning when erected. Safety features must also include tower grounding and a lightening protection system. The trailer must include a hydraulic braking system for use when being towed with electric brake lights. The Government requires all items to meet or exceed requirements as explained in the salient characteristics. Salient characteristics are listed as reference only. 10% variance will be allowed for measurements, dimensions, and weights.
