Description

Special Notice.   The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to award a sole source purchase order to CEPHEID FINANCIAL SVCS for the purposes of procuring a contract from 10/1/2017 thru 9/30/2018 for CEPHEID TEST KITS to include (CT/NG KITS, SWAB/A-50, URINE/A-50, GXCDIFF-EPI-10, GSCARBAR-10, and GXCARBAR-SPAK) for the Salem VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, VA 24153. Determination of this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of Cepheid Testing Kits. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide the specialty hand instruments may give written notice to Jackie.Bray@VA.Gov by 3:00pm e.s.t. on September 25, 2017. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
