- Description
- Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center intends to award sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Wartsila Defense, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Wartsila is currently in use for Major Overhaul Kits on MARMC controlled vessels. Wartsila Defense, Inc. is the OEM for the Major Overhaul Kits Item number WLP00135-001 and Item number WLP00136-001 required to perform maintenance on the ship's existing installed Starboard and Port Stern Tube Shaft Seal. The drawings are proprietary to Warsila and specific dimensions to manufacturer part are not shown on the drawing and will not be provided by OEM. The purpose of this procurement is to award based on a sole source requirement, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice is not a request for compete quotations. A solicitation will not be available for this requirement. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. However, any information received on or before the posting date of this notice will be considered by the government. Information may be sent to Myles Luke, Contract Specialist at myles.luke@navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Inquires will only be accepted via the above email.
