- This is currently an unfunded requirement subject to FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds. Award will be made should funding become available. Please make offers good through 30 September 2017. The Guardian Angel (GA) members of the 212th Rescue Squadron are required to operate in the harshest climates on earth. Regularly conducting real world operations in arctic conditions while simultaneously training for, and deploying to, some of the hottest and driest parts of the world. Therefore, they require products that ensure operators are capable of surviving in extreme conditions where product failure can quite literally lead to loss of life. These products must have a proven track record of withstanding extreme arctic conditions (or desert, etc.) while also allowing for maximum comfort, function and performance of GA Operators. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a brand name or equal - please include all physical, functional and performance capabilities. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside, NAICS 336999. **Please provide the number of days for delivery after receipt of award.** 0001 - (2) EA; Snowmachine Brand Name or Equal: Ski-Doo Tundra Xtreme 600 H.O. E-TEC Must have the following salient characteristics: - Must be 2-stroke, reed valve, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled 594.4cc Rotax engine - Must have both electric and pull start options - Must be no greater than 11 ft in length - Must have 32in ski stance - Must weigh no more than 495lbs - Must have 10.6 gal fuel capacity - Must have 154in track length, 16in track width 0002 - (1) EA; Shipping to JBER, AK Please include shipping directly to Anchorage AK 99506. Firms that believe that they can provide similar required items must provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer. This announcement constitutes the only written notice. Basis for award will be the best value to the Government. In accordance with FAR 52.212-2, the Government will award a contract/purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following evaluation factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical (item specifications) and Price. The following provisions are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration, FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-3 Alt I Offeror Representations and Certificates-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders-Commercial Items.
