- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT SOLE SOURCE The Defense Logistics Agency, Troop Support, Philadelphia, PA Medical Directorate intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to McKesson Technologies Inc, 5995 Windward Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30005-4184 for the procurement of brand name McKesson integration of Nuance's Powerscribe 360 voice dictation software to the McKesson Digital Imaging Network-Picture Archive Communications System (DIN-PACS) located at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. This order for brand name integration services, will be placed on a sole source basis with McKesson Technologies as the following circumstance in FAR 13.106-1(b) applies: only one source is capable of providing the services required at the level of quality required because the servicers are unique or highly specialized. The voice dictation integration is for a DIN-PACS already in place at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. McKesson is the only vendor who is capable of performing integration services on the McKesson DIN-PACS. The DIN-PACS includes proprietary hardware and software. Due to the proprietary nature of the DIN-PACS software, only McKesson can provide the required integration services. The estimated value of this contract is $71,000.00. Delivery schedule will be discussed prior to issuing the purchase order. The anticipated award date is September 27, 2017. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, that all responsible sources and interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting technical data for this requirement within 5 calendar days of this notice posting (no later than September 25, 2017; by 4:00 PM EST, to Jethro Maldonado, via email at jethro.maldonado@dla.mil, which shall be considered by the agency. Please note telephone calls will not be honored. DLA Troop Support intends to solicit this requirement orally in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(c), thus no written solicitation will be issued.
