- Mark Your Calendars for Two Events with the Defense Department's Weapons Technologies Community of Interest (COI) in 2018! The first event will occur 22-26 January 2018 at the Institute for Defense Analyses, 4850 Mark Center Drive, Alexandria, VA. The second event will be 23-27 April 2018 at the Phillips Conference Center, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The notional schedule below is for planning purposes and subject to change. Any subsequent revisions will be posted to http://www.defenseinnovationmarketplace.mil/weapons.html. •· 27 August 2017 - Open window for submissions of Industry IR&D reports to the Marketplace IR&D database begins; forward IR&D report number list to weapons@defenseinnovationmarketplace.mil •· 30 September 2017 - Close submission window for receipt of Industry's projects •· 22 Nov 2017 - Selected firms receive invitation to participate in the face-to-face event •· 22 December 2017 - Selected Industry attendees provide read-ahead briefs •· 22-26 January 2018 - the Weapons Technologies COI IR&D TIMs (Part 1) is conducted at the IDA facility •· 23-27 April 2018 -- the Weapons Technologies COI IR&D TIMs (Part 2) is conducted at the Phillips Conference Center, Kirtland AFB NM
