- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to the revised NAICS: 339112, Standard Size: 1000; NAICS: 339113, Standard Size 750. Preference will be given to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and Veteran Owned Small Business. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. Functional Statement The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is currently using Zimmer Power Systems. This system is used for Ambulatory Phlebectomy procedures, the vascular service currently uses Trivex Resector Handpiece (7210387) for outpatient procedure that removes superficial veins through small, slit-like incisions in the skin. and these hand pieces are compatible with this system. Vascular is requesting more systems to support their caseloads which will better serve the Veterans. This purchase will enhance our ability to perform surgeries as needed in the OR. Interested vendors shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number and/or capability statement. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to jack.caperton@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
