- Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Newborn screening test for metabolic disorders and supplementary newborn screening tests as recommended by the American College of Medical Genetics, (ACMG) in their Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP) at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price sole source contract to PerkinElmer Genetics, Inc., a large business, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i)-Only One Source Reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreement, brand name or industrial mobilization) for Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas, for Newborn Screening Tests services. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 621511-"Medical Laboratories". The Small Business Size Standard is $32.5 million. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central intends to make a sole source award to PerkinElmer Genetics, Inc., 90 Emerson Lane Suite 1403, Bridgeville, PA 15017-3473.
