- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ on behalf of the US Coast Guard intends to negotiate a firm fixed price single award contract, on a sole source basis, with Ballard Industries (Cage: 0H231), 11400 Airport Rd Ste 201, Everett, WA 98204-8782. The procurement requirement is to upgrade five (5) Rugged Avionics Computer (RAC) systems from PART NUMBER AB3810H2/MS0/PMC07L to PART NUMBER AB3810H2/MS0/PMC07M. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as Ballard Industries is the OEM of the Rugged Avionics Computers and the only source with the data required to perform the necessary upgrades. The proposed contract will be implemented in accordance with FAR 13, "Simplified Acquisition Procedures." Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must include the company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number, telecopy (fax) number, electronic mail (e-mail) address and company literature sufficient to determine the capability of this company to perform this effort. No phone inquiries will be entertained.
