Description

Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is seeking buyers for untreated wood chips ground from a compilation of damaged shipping crates, skids, broken palettes and other miscellaneous wood scrap collected throughout the installation. The wood has been screened for the removal of hardware and other items such as screws, nails, and metal brackets; but small amounts of these items may remain. Suggested uses include fuel and erosion control. These wood chips are not recommended for gardening or landscaping. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. The Government is under no obligation to make the aforementioned item available for sale. Buyers will be responsible for providing transportation to remove the wood chips at the time of the sale. Potential buyers must submit a statement of interest in response to this notice no later than 10 October 2017 at 4:00 P.M. CDT. Responses should include a contact name and phone number and must be submitted electronically to Sonja Freeman at sonja.l.freeman.civ@mail.mil.
