Description
This is a sources sought notice only. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain market knowledge of potential businesses to provide Medical Health Professional staffing services for a Mobile Crisis Management Team for the Emergency room at the Sacramento VA Hospital at Mather, CA (see description of services and qualification requirements below.) The applicable NAICS Code is 561312, with a small business size standard of $27.5 million. All businesses capable of providing this service are encouraged to reply, as responses will be used by the Government to make determinations about for the appropriate set-aside. No solicitation is currently available at this time. After review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, a synopsis and/or solicitation announcement may be published at a later time. Description of Services: Medical Health Professional staffing services for an on-call Mobile Crisis Management Team as required in the Emergency Room at the Sacramento VA Hospital, 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, CA 95655 Specific Services: The Mental Health Professionals team will consist of LCSW, PsyD, PhD, MD, and DO, licensed clinical social workers or licensed marriage and family therapists that must be skilled in conducting Mental Health crisis evaluations for voluntary and/or involuntary admission to inpatient psychiatry. Staff will evaluate patients who may be considered by the emergency room staff as an immediate danger to themselves or others or gravely disabled. Qualifications: 1. Contract Mental Health Professionals assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current license. All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Contract staff who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered. 2. All contract LCSW s must be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). 3. Must have at least two years experienced (per occupational history and reference checks) of performing mental health evaluations involving Welfare and Institution Code section 5150 determinations.   4. Must be trained and currently certified by Sacramento County to perform 5150 evaluations; or if the VA provides re-certification, they must become appropriately recertified. 5. Must keep their 5150 certification up-to-date through Sacramento County or through the VA, if the VA provides recertification, every 2 years 6. Work Schedule: Available 40 Hours per week, Monday through Friday, 4:30 pm 8:00 am the next morning, and 24 hours a day on weekends and holidays on- call as needed. Contractor staff must be on site within 60 minutes of a call by the Emergency Room. Telephone consults may suffice. Duration of the services may be required for one 1 year or more. United States) 38 U.S.C. 8127 - 8128: Service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) or Veteran owned small business (VOSB) concern must be registered and verified in VA's Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database at www.vip.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award as a SDVOSB or VOSB if/when a solicitation is issued for this requirement as a SDVOSB or VOSB set aside. In addition, this requirement has been determined to be set aside as SDVOSB or VOSB acquisition, only SDVOSB or VOSB that respond to this specific notice with in the above stated due date will be eligible for award.
