- Wage Determination Solicitation This is a synopsis-solicitation. The solicitation is posted now. The purpose of this contract is to decrease lighting electrical consumption while increasing available lighting for improved safety at the South Fork Engine Bay in Alturas, CA. Currently, lighting is supplied by one long circuit that powers 20 four-foot, four lamp T-12 fixtures and several CFL recessed can lights. Many of the fixtures and/or lamps no longer function correctly and currently provide inadequate lighting. This project will replace all these fixtures with energy efficient LED ultra-long-life fixtures and lamps. The Contractor is responsible to provide all necessary hardware and labor to completely remove and properly dispose of the old lighting, and to install new modern LED lights to functioning condition. 1. The Contractor shall remove existing fluorescent lighting (T-12 fixtures) and replace with new LED lighting. 2. The Contractor shall install new LED lights: 6-foot LED recessed can lights (quantity of 4). 3. The Contractor shall install 2 lamp wrap-style 4-foot fixtures (quantity of 20). The South Fork Engine Bay, Engine 56, is located at 706 South Main St, Building # 2200 in Alturas, CA 96101. The project area size is approximately 1400 square feet. The contract time and estimated start date shall be determined by availability of quoter selected for award.
