- SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns, or solicit Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, with a small business size standard of $36.5M Million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Performance and Payment bonds will be required. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, lead abatement, and capability to perform repairs to an existing Aids to Navigation (ATON) structure: Tinicum Range Rear Light; 2nd Street; Paulsboro, NJ 08066-LLNR 3290. Repairs to be performed include: removal of loose or cracked mortar from all the stone base piers and repairing them by tuckpointing new mortar into the joints. The connections of horizontal double channel braces require steel plates to be welded on the sides of the webs of the channels to the tower vertical legs. All interior and exterior surfaces including, but not limited to: the tower structure, stairs, hardware, tower base, entrance pavilion, granite leg bases, entrance, railings (interior and exterior), original building components (excluding replacement windows and lantern glazing), tower legs, braces, lantern exterior, lantern roof and gallery deck shall be prepped and painted. Due to the age of the structure, it is likely that lead-based paint is present on all or most painted surfaces. The Contractor shall comply with OSHA lead in construction standard and other applicable regulatory standards to protect workers from exposure to airborne lead dust. The ATON structure is located in Glouchester County, New Jersey. The performance period is estimated to be 180 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. Your response is required no later than 2 October 2017. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
