- There were originally two, separate Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM s) of the ATCRBS five foot antennas, all produced in the early 1980 s. One was manufactured by Texas Instruments, OEM part number FA-9764 and the other by Radiation Systems Incorporated (RSI), OEM part number FA-10016. These antennas are critical elements (single-points of failure) for the following secondary surveillance (beacon) radar systems: Mode Select Beacon System (Mode S) and Air Traffic Control Beacon Interrogator Model 5 (ATCBI-5). A draft Statement of Work is attached for review. Currently, Texas Instruments and Radiation Systems Incorporated are the only known sources for this equipment. The equipment will be sent to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Vendors are encouraged to review this announcement on the FAA s Contract Opportunities Website at https://facco.faa.gov. The purpose of this announcement is to conduct a market survey to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from interested vendors in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.1.2.1. This market survey will enable the FAA to review responses that are current and will assist with acquisition planning based on current data. Responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. The FAA will review the responses to this Market Survey and will make appropriate acquisition planning decisions that best meet the FAA s needs. The results of the Market Survey will assist the FAA to determine the extent of the requirement that may be set-aside for small businesses, socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses [8(a)] and Service disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and size effort applicable to this requirement: NAICS: 333242 Semiconductor Machinery Manufacturing Size Standard: 1500 Employees Interested firms submitting the response are requested to provide the following information: COMPANY INFORMATION - Name and address of company - Point of contact (name, title, telephone number, and email address) CAPABILITY STATEMENT This document should identify the following: - Capability of providing the equipment - Number of years in business Interested firms are asked to submit a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification if applicable. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this announcement. Therefore any cost associated with the submission is solely at the interested vendor s expense. All responses to this market survey should be received by 12:00 p.m. Central (Oklahoma) Time, Thursday, September 28, 2017.
