- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of U.S. Army Project Manager for Close Combat Systems (PM CCS) in conjunction with the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command - Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, is seeking sources for the AT4 Munition System. The AT4 munitions includes: M136A1 AT4, 84mm anti-tank confined space, reduced sensitivity (AT4CS-RS), disposable munition system. The U.S Army intends to procure approximately 1,000 M136A1 munition systems for use in confined space. The M136A1 will provide the U.S. Army with the capability to defeat medium armored targets encountered in urban combat environments. The M136A1 must be capable of being safely fired from confined (or enclosed) spaces. The system shall not exceed 20 pounds, must be simple to operate, and be single man portable providing the capability to engage targets from enclosures at 15 to 300 meters. The M136A1 shall contain energetics that demonstrate Insensitive Munition (IM) compliance. All interested parties considering submitting capabilities should evaluate whether their system can engage a medium armored target (example: BMP-3) and incapacitate interior occupants with a single shot. This sources sought notice/market survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a request for proposal. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this sources sought notice/market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice. Interested sources should submit the requested information no later than 3 p.m. EST, on Wednesday, 04 October 2017 via email to Mr. Sean Kelly, Contract Specialist, sean.p.kelly168.civ@mail.mil. Submissions must be restricted to a maximum file size of 8MB and is required to be in the English language and be prepared in Microsoft® Word or Adobe ® PDF format.
