Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to one Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business. The intended project will demolish the existing water treatment system, prepare the site for the new water treatment system, and construct a temporary 8 station dialysis unit on 3-North of the TVHS Nashville VA Medical Center, 1310 24th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212. The resulting solicitation will lead to one award for the site preparation of the new water treatments system and the new temporary 8 station dialysis unit. Site preparations will include modifications to the site and stamped drawings. This contract action is for services for which the VA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-5 (Authorized by Statute) and 38 U.S.C. 8127(c) which is implemented by VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 819.7007. A determination that only one Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concern is available to provide this requirement is not required (see VAAR 819.7007(b)). No Solicitation will be made available. This is not a request for competitive proposals. This Special Notice is for information purposes only and is being posted in accordance with FAR 5.203(a).
