Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE This is a pre-solicitation notice, the full solicitation with statement of work, specifications, and drawings will be posted on or around October 15, 2017. Project No. 550-13-102: Renovate 58-5 Endoscopy Suite at VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, IL. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision to execute work for project 550-13-102: Renovate 58-5 Endoscopy Suite. All services related to the Statement of Work (SOW) shall meet local, state, federal, VA, ADA, NFPA, life safety codes and directives. Work is to be completed within 270 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The work associated with project 550-13-116 includes, but is not limited to: Total demolition and abatement of former ICU space on Building 58, 5th floor, and conversion to new Endoscopy Suite. Project includes asbestos abatement and minor demolition on 4th floor to allow for work above the 4th floor ceiling and in chases and minor asbestos abatement in the attic. Renovated space to include the following: 3-Procedure Rooms, 2-Sterile Storage Rooms, 1-Soiled Holding Room, 1-Single Occupant Restroom, Patient Holding Space, Service Hallway, and 1-Passage Corridor. Work includes general construction, alterations, demolition, asbestos abatement, mechanical and electrical work, necessary removal of existing structures, roofing, and construction of certain other items. Additionally, the project corrects FCA 306038 by replacing AC-5 and partially corrects FCA 14661 by replacing 5th floor VAV boxes. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about October 15, 2017 with the bid opening on/about November 15, 2017. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $36.5 million applies. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) or hold a Re-verification symbol listed next to the firm s name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE), prior to award of contract.
