- Industry Day Registration Form NOTIFICATION TO INDUSTRY: INDUSTRY DAY FOR LAGRANGE LOCK AND DAM, MAJOR REHABILITATION This notice does not constitute a solicitation. This announcement and the Construction Industry Day event are for planning purposes only. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any party attending or participating for costs incurred for this event or marketing efforts. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will host a Construction Industry Day event for all businesses interested in the LaGrange Lock and Dam Major Rehabilitation. The event is free of charge and all interested parties are invited to attend. Attendance is limited to four (4) representatives per company. Date: 25 October 2017 Time: 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Central Time Venue: Peoria Public Library-Main Branch 107 NE Monroe St Peoria, IL 61602 Room: Auditorium Return the "Construction Industry Day Registration Form" by email to: Carissa.j.mckinley@usace.army.mil no later than October 23rd, 2017 at 2:00pm CT. The intent of this industry day is to solicit comments and information from the construction community addressing the following: • Plan Set Layout • Closure duration • Actuator Specifications, other specialized items • Other Special Contracting Requirements • Small business opportunities, interest and capabilities Prior to the Industry Day: The Government may post clarifications, questions, and comments submitted in response to this notice on the Federal Business Opportunities website without identification of the source. The required work to be performed is at a lock site which water levels frequently exceed the top of wall elevation. Additionally, concrete work within the lock chamber will be required during a lock closure period that may be between ninety (90) and one hundred twenty (120) days. Specific work includes, but is not limited to, dewatering and maintaining dewatered lock chamber; debris removal within the lock chamber; installation of lock dewatering observation wells; cleaning of lock chamber floor weep holes; horizontal concrete removal and replacement; concrete trenching for mechanical piping installation; vertical concrete line drilling, saw cutting, blasting, and grinding; precast concrete panel fabrication and installation; construction of concrete protective piers on top of lock wall; blocking and securing existing miter gates for work on gate appurtenances; miter gate anchorage removal and replacement; miter gate machinery removal and replacement including rotary actuators; tainter valve cylinder removal and replacement; removal and repair of tainter valves; new PLC system; new I-wall mechanical control building; miscellaneous electrical work; fabrication of movable control stands; hydraulic system and piping removal and replacement; HTRW removal of sand in pipe trenches; bubbler system installation; generator installation; commissioning of electrical/mechanical systems; existing central control station building rehabilitation; existing fuel tank removal;handrail installation; concrete road and parking lot construction; maintenance building addition; and sewage lift station rehabilitation. Range of magnitude: $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00 Period of performance: estimated 3 years Closure period for industry navigation: Summer to fall of 2020 DISCLOSURE NOTIFICATION AND PROCEDURES Do not submit proprietary information. Information submitted in response to this notice is subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act. Any information whether written or oral, provided by a contractor will not be considered confidential and may be incorporated into the design of the Project.
