Description
Combat Casualty Care Research Program (CCRP) is conducting market research to assess availability to provide the services of a peer-reviewed medical journal to publish, as a special issue, a subset of MHSRS research articles focused on non-trauma medical research for dissemination among MHSRS participants, the USAMRMC, and the community of Military healthcare professionals and medical scientists, academia, and industry. The anticipated contractor support duties are included as Attachment 1. Subject: Publication of the Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS), Non-Trauma Research Articles as Special Issue to a Peer-Reviewed Medical Journal THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ); IT IS STRICTLY A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). NEITHER UNSOLICITED PROPOSALS NOR ANY OTHER KINDS OF OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN RESPONSE TO THIS RFI. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. 1.0 DISCLAIMER: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kind of offers will be considered in response to this RFI. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements for a future RFP will not be entertained. 2.0 SUBJECT: Combat Casualty Care Research Program (CCRP) is conducting market research to assess availability to provide the services of a peer-reviewed medical journal to publish, as a special issue, a subset of MHSRS research articles focused on non-trauma medical research for dissemination among MHSRS participants, the USAMRMC, and the community of Military healthcare professionals and medical scientists, academia, and industry. The anticipated contractor support duties are included as Attachment 1. 3.0 BACKGROUND: The MHSRS is a mission essential symposium, sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs and managed by the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), Combat Casualty Care Research Program (CCCRP) in conjunction with the other Military Services. It is a premier scientific conference designed to address the unique medical needs of the Warfighter, and provides a collaborative environment for Military medical care providers with deployment experience, Department of Defense (DoD) scientists, academia, and industry in the areas of Combat Casualty Care, Military Operational Medicine, Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine, and Military Infectious Diseases Research Programs. The MHSRS provides an opportunity for the Services to share advancements and identify critical research needs essential to the mission. This collaborative environment for DoD scientists, academia, and industry, precludes duplicative efforts, and fosters rapid advancement and evaluation of research and development activities through a constant exchange of medical research information.
