- Description
- The Contractor is to provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision and transportation required to reconfigure Golden 13 Conference Room space, building 1017 located at Camp Porter Naval Station Great Lakes, IL, per requirements provided. Audio Visual Support For all configurations, each meeting area is required to have modern, audio/visual capability consistent with technical recommendations of the Tierney proposals or equal. Each person either seated or standing must have both audio and visual line of sight with both the presenter and the visual, smart screen or video. Provide an audio capability for conference calls and VTC transmissions in each room. Design Layout Separate the existing space into the following three configurations utilizing flexible, wall partitions. Utilize standard, architectural guidance in making room size recommendations. Configurations described as follows: I. Configuration 1 for Design: a. A meeting space for 225 persons consisting of 100 persons in two, separate military formations while the remaining 125 persons stand in a casual fashion; standing room only. b. Simultaneously, a space for 25 people where at least 16 of the 25 are able to be seated at a portable, conference table. II. Configuration 2 for Design: a. A meeting space for 70 people where all are seated; no conference table b. Simultaneously, A meeting space for 25 people where all are seated; no conference table. c. Simultaneously, a space for 25 people where at least 16 of the 20 are able to be seated at a portable, conference table. Ill. Configuration 3: Maximize the entire space for one, large meeting or civic event Take into consideration the space necessary for each person to be seated. Provide a maximum rated capacity for the space. These audio visual equipments are for reference only. Adjust equipment numbers and specifications as required for new room configuration. Install 6 wall mounted displays Two of the displays will be mounted on the front wall and will be 84 interactive displays. Two of the displays will be mounted in the side walls, just behind the partitions, on articulating arm mounts. These monitors are designed to be overflow monitors for the room as a whole, or as standalone monitors when the rooms are divided. Two monitors will be mounted to the central pillars and will only be used to display the cameras image of the presenter {when in use). Install video conferencing system The owner furnished codec will reside in the new equipment rack. The owner furnished camera will be ceiling mounted on a new mount near the center of the room. A new gooseneck microphone will be installed on the_ podium in the SW quadrant, and will be used for voice lift as_ well as for video calls (presenter). Install a new speaker system 24 ceiling mounted speakers will be installed, 6 per quadrant, and will be zoned as such. This will allow the each quadrant to operate independently or as part of the whole. Install a new interface system Wall plates will be installed in each quadrant for use when the rooms are divided. Connections include HDMI and VGA w/audio. The connected source device will be displayed on the quadrants display and will be heard through the quadrants speakers. A connection point and new podium are also included_ This connection consists of two wall plates in southwest quadrant and connections include HDMI x2 (laptop and DVD), VGA w/audio x1, and an XLR for goose neck microphone. Install a new control system A control processor will be installed in the new equipment rack. Divide/Combine sensors will be installed in such a way that the system will be able to auto sense the rooms configuration. a 10 touch panel will be installed on the new podium to provide full room contra! when the room is whole. Controls include power on/off, input select/distribution, audio control, and video conferencing control. Wall mounted keypads will be installed in each quadrant for use when the rooms are divided. Controls include display on/off, input select, and volume control. Install a new equipment rack E Project No. 1559034 A new 21 space equipment rack will be installed in the storage room located near the main room. All switching, amplification, and recording equipment will be housed in the equipment rack. The rack. includes all necessary accessories to distribute power, manage cables, and is lockable. Install a new recording system A new recorder will be installed in the equipment rack to allow for capturing meetings/lectures. Recording can be done via memory card, USS, or over the network. All electrical outlets at monitor and equipment rack locations. Outlets, cable pathways, software, networking, are all required for a complete and usable system. Worksite access, during normal business hours, for the duration of the installation appointment. All software installation on owner computers. All network configuration for the video conferencing and recording systems. Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems: Project scope shall include verification that all emergency lighting, exit signage, fire alarm and mass notification system, sprinkler system and other life safety components for the project areas are sufficient and compliant with all code requirements. This shall include, but not be limited to, the installation of new lighting and exit signage, modification of the existing sprinkler system to be capable of providing adequate discharge density throughout the project area, modification of the fire alarm and mass notification system to provide compliant coverage throughout the project area, addition of new fire extinguishers where required that are sized and located properly for the hazard, and to ensure the new fire extinguishers are properly mounted at the correct height (48-inches) above the finished floor. It is the responsibility of the FPDOR to ensure that all life safety, egress, fire resistive ratings, and other code requirements are compliant under the final design.
