THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is performing market research. This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339113. The William S. Middleton VA Medical Center located in Madison, WI has a need for Powered Stretchers for the Emergency Room and general use. The emergency room cares for a wide variety of patients, transporting to diagnostic testing areas or to an inpatient unit for admission. Nursing transport uses power stretchers for transport to neighboring facility for procedures which involves a ramp. Specifications/salient characteristics: 1. Patient stretcher motorized with electronic functions for patient and staff to position. 2. 700lb weight capacity 3. Mattress with at least 3-inch height. 4. Oxygen tank holder mounted. 5. Integrated transfer board. 6. 4-wheel central locking brake system with dual end activators. 7. Dual side-mounted foot control hydraulics with uni-lower pedal. 8. Trendelenburg positions. 9. 8 inch casters with wheel covers. 10. Powered backrest with lift assist manual which uses patient weight to raise head of stretcher. 11. Powered knee gatch with quick release lowering. 12. Retractable cord reel. 13. Foot end lock out controls. 14. At least a 2-year warranty with 2-year parts, labor and travel. 15. Brake pedals on head and foot ends for four stretchers only 16. Exit alarm system and scale for four stretchers only. 17. 8 stretchers to be powder blue color for base assembly. 18. 4 stretchers to be red color for base assembly. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, INCLUDING ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: Company name. Address. Indication of which business category (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business or Large Business) for which the organization qualifies. Are you providing a small business product? A capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to provide the requirement depicted above. If an authorized distributor, a memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products If an authorized distributor, a statement explaining the added value provided with this purchase. Reference the product, facility and sources sought number on all correspondence regarding this announcement. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339113 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Michael J Rosenthal at Michael.rosenthal@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
