Sources Sought Instructions (1) Action Code : SOURCES SOUGHT This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a request for proposal, but a survey to locate potential sources. This Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, & EDWOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. Salient Characteristics C.1 OBJECTIVE C.1.1 The Contractor shall provide one (1) high precision scale based on the Government's minimum requirements as stated in sections C.2 and C.3. C.2 REQUIREMENTS The Government requires quantity (qty.) one (1) Oscilloscope - Infiniium S Series 2.5 gigahertz (GHz) 4 channel, Model DSOS254A The Contractor shall ensure that the precision scale meets the following minimum requirements: The oscilloscope must have a bandwidth greater than or equal to 2500000000 hertz (also commonly termed 2.5 GHz). The oscilloscope must have four independent recording channels. The oscilloscope must have at least one external trigger input. Each of the four independent recording channels must be capable of running with impedance set to 50 ohms Each of the four independent recording channels must be capable of running with impedance set to 1000000 ohms (also known as 1 Mohm) Each of the four independent channels must be capable of recording at a sampling rate of at least 20000000000 samples per second (also commonly termed 20 Gigasamples/s or 20 Gsamp/s or 20 Gs/s). Each of the four independent channels must be capable of recording 100000000 (100M) samples @ 20 Gigasamples/second or greater The oscilloscope must have an external display so it can run as a standalone entity. The oscilloscope must have an touch-screen display input mode. The oscilloscope must be able to interface with a computer to be controlled remotely. The oscilloscope must have an Ethernet interface. The oscilloscope must have a USB interface. The oscilloscope must be capable to mount in a standard 19" laboratory rack The oscilloscope must come with the hardware to mount in a 19" laboratory rack The oscilloscope must come with the power supply and all accessories so as to be run upon receiving. The oscilloscope must run on standard 110 volt alternating current power (110V ac). (12) Responses to this sources sought are due no later than 11:59PM eastern standard time 11October 2017.
