- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for Kepco 1000 Watt Power Supply. The products provided by Kepco will be for Kepco 1000 Watt Power Supply is used to provide precision amperage to the magnetic test coil and the electrodes on the Portable Calibration Source (PCS). There are two units that are configured in an arrangement to provide the necessary current (40-amps DC and 40-amps pk AC) under software control. These devices must fit in existing 19" rack space and mate to existing cable harnesses and software. The NAICS code is 335999 and the business size is 500 (size standard). The proposed purchase order is being synopsized on a sole-source basis to Kepco. The proposed action is for Kepco 1000 Watt Power Supply, for which the Government intends to synopsize and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Kepco is the only vendor that provides the Kepco 1000 Watt Power Supply that are compatible with existing 19" rack space and mate to existing cable harnesses and software. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Instruments Inc. using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 18 October 2017. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 10/18/2017, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
