- Description
- This is a Sources Sought only. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is performing market research to determine if there are any vendors with economic status of Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women Owned, and other Small Businesses that can provide services of an Outpatient Social Model Detoxification Program for Veterans in the Fresno, CA area. The projected period of performance is March 01, 2018 through February 28, 2022. The socio-economic status of the responders will determine the type of set-aside, if any. Summary of Work Patients appropriate for ambulatory detoxification will be determined by a medical provider (Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, and Physician) after a history and medical evaluation is completed. If the patient is found to meet criteria for Ambulatory Detoxification, they will be provided care depending on their individual needs and the clinical judgment of the treating provider. Patients will be prescribed daily doses of medication and will be expected to return for close follow-up evaluation for a minimum of 5-7 days, depending on their individual medical needs. The patient will also be evaluated for participation in Group Therapy with the SUDP throughout the detoxification process. At the completion of the detoxification, the patient will have developed a plan in conjunction with SUDP personnel regarding longer-term treatment. If at any time during the detoxification, the patient's medical condition deteriorates; or if the patient is unable to abstain from substances, the patient will be considered for admission for inpatient detoxification (Please see the attached DRAFT PWS for additional information.)
