- Synopsis in word document. This is the official solicitation synopsis for installation of the Zodiac Aerospace MB-60 Textile Module Brake and the Zodiac Aerospace BAK 15 Stanchion/Net System. The two arresting systems shall be provided by the Government. This will be a firm-fixed price type contract. Work is to be performed in the general construct category to include demolition, grading, paving, relocation of existing equipment, and installation of the new arresting system at the two End of Runways. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes: 237310 Size Standard $36.5M; Scope includes work at Langley AFB Hampton, Virginia. The magnitude of the individual task order will be from $1 Million to $5 Million. The period of performance is 341 days from date of Notice to Proceed. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specification of the contract and drawings. This is being solicited as a Small Business set aside. The successful offerors will be selected whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 30 October 2017, on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web page. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. It is anticipated that the following viewers will be needed to view the solicitation: Microsoft Word (.doc), Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf) and WinZip (.zip or.exe). The government intends to hold a site visit for the proposal demonstration project on or about 3 November 2017. The exact date and time will be identified in the solicitation. NOTE: All prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Registration may take up to three week to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for award. Effective 01 January 2005 the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires the use of Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in Federal solicitations as part of the proposal submission process. All prospective contractors submitting an offer in response to the subject solicitation must go to http://www.bpn.gov/ to add or update ORCA records.
