Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION STRATASYS FORTUS 900MC 3-D PRINTING MACHINE MAINTENANCE The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements. This is an unclassified part. Actual knowledge and/or generation of classified information and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) are not expected to be necessary for performance of the contract/order. The Government does not own the data required for the maintenance/repair. Stratasys owns the data rights and is the OEM, and is the only company that can perform the maintenance/repair. Funding and assets are not available for reverse engineering. The Government has determined that this system is a commercial item. Commercial item descriptions, commercial vendor catalog or price lists, or commercial manuals assigned a technical manual number apply. NOTE: Samples are not available for potential supplier to evaluate. The contractor shall provide complete system maintenance services to support CMXG CMM Lab and Additive Manufacturing at Robins AFB, GA. The contractor shall provide all service/repair parts, including consumables required for service/repair, and unlimited emergency service visits in support of the Stratasys Fortus 900MC machine, serial number L0579. The contractor shall also provide technical phone support and software maintenance releases for the duration of the contract. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. The documents below and attached contain a description of the Stratasys Fortus 900MC machine, serial number L0579 maintenance requirement and a Contractor Capability Survey. The Survey allows Contractors to provide their company's capability. 2. If, after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate in the market research, you should provide documentation that supports your company's capability in meeting these requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. If you lack sufficient capability in a particular area, please provide details explaining how you would overcome the lack of experience/capabilities in order to perform that portion of the requirement (i.e., teaming, subcontracting, etc.). a. Identify any areas of work that your organization believes should be broken out exclusively for Small Business. 3. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements are encouraged. 4. Questions relative to this market survey should be addressed to the requiring activity. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION STRATASYS FORTUS 900MC 3-D PRINTING MACHINE MAINTENANCE PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to for the preventive maintenance and repair for the following item: Description: Fortus 900MC 3D Printing machine Serial Number: L0579 This requirement is for preventative maintenance and repair services. Our preventative maintenance and repair services strategy is basic one (1) year contract with four (4) option years, for the Fortus 900MC. The Government's needs for preventative maintenance and repair services are required in order to support the maintenance capability of the Fortus 900MC which provides 3D models and parts. Service and repair technicians are required to perform services using the most up-to-date maintenance techniques, instrument operation and modifications, and latest state-of-the-art applications for service and repair being performed on the equipment listed below according to OEM specifications. All replacement parts furnished by the contractor shall be OEM compatible components. The designated government representatives will contact the contractor to schedule date and time to complete required on-site visits for preventative maintenance and repair services. Describe your capabilities and experience for providing technical telephone support related to the requirements similar to this effort. (1 page limit) B. Repair Questions: 1. Describe your field service capabilities for performing system inspection, regular maintenance, responding to emergency breakdown repairs, and providing technical telephone support to keep Fortus 900MC 3D Printing systems in peak operating condition. Describe how you would utilize your personnel (their qualifications), data, special equipment, and repair processes to ensure you can inspect, maintain, and repair Fortus 900MC 3D Printing systems.
