- The Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) is contemplating to procure the new manufacture of Line Items cited below for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) fixed-quantity contract for Shipping and Storage Containers to support the F100 Engine. 1. Estimated issue date and estimated closing/response date issued 01 Nov 2017; closes 01 Dec 2017 2. PR# - FD2030-17-01131 3. Service/Spare/Repair/OH - New Manufacture 4. Item: Shipping and Storage Containers 5. NSN - 8145-01-450-3984NZ 6. PN - P4078845 7. Description: SHIPPING AND STORAGE 8. Total Line Item Quantity: L/I 0001 - NSN 8145-01-450-3984NZ, QTY 4 EA, FMS 9. Application (Engine or Aircraft) - F100 10. Destination: (FMS) - Ship To Code: DKS007; Supplemental Address Code: DA7KDC. 11. Delivery: (FMS) - 4 EA by 07 Feb 2019. Early delivery is acceptable. 12. AMC Code: 3/P This requirement is for the new manufacture of the Shipping and Storage Containers for the F100 engine program. Sources must be qualified prior to award. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARS). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Hard copies of this solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available for download at www.fedbizopps.gov. 15. Export Control: No 16. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
