- PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: This announcement constitutes a Pre-Solicitation announcement of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not an Invitation for Bids. No response is requested at this time. An Invitation for Bids will follow this announcement with full details, including a response deadline, the complete price proposal schedule, and the construction plans & specifications. The Invitation for Bids is expected to occur on or around 15 days after the posting of this Pre-Solicitation notice. OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THIS WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE AND THE INVITATION FOR BIDS ANNOUNCEMENT PLANNED IFB: The final IFB for this project will be announced no sooner than 15 calendar days from the date of the Pre-Solicitation announcement. The contract type will be firm-fixed-price. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of maintenance dredging approximately 1,720,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from Charleston Upper Harbor, TC Dock, MARAD Piers S, T, U, and Joint Base Charleston Channel, Charleston and Berkeley Counties, South Carolina shall be deposited in the Clouter Creek Placement Area, Middle Cell and Highway Cell, and Joint Base Charleston Placement Area. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammals Protection Act. MAGNITUDE OF WORK: $5,000,000 TO 10,000,000 TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside pursuant to FAR 6.203 & FAR 19.502-2. The NAICS Code selected for this acquisition is 237990, which has a size standard of $36.5 million average annual revenue.
