Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice 36C25218B0057 Project: Replacement of Structural Floor Slab for Building 43 Dining Room Mental Health Project Number: 695-17-120 Location: Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center has a requirement to Replace the Structural Floor Slab for Building 43 Dining Room Mental Health. The northern section of Building 43 s dining room (B105) sits above a portion of the Bldg 43 steam tunnel. The floor slab in this approximate 20 x30 area is severely compromised because of significant concrete and steel slab deterioration. This construction project will isolate this area from the rest of the dining room by an infection control and construction barrier to allow for the removal and replacement of the structural floor. Minor concrete restoration work and mechanical, electrical, & plumbing (MEP) hanging and/or relocation requirements are necessary in the crawl space below the floor to allow for the necessary scaffolding system. The flooring finishes above will be replaced with a pattern like the existing floor to complement the dining room aesthetic. The project magnitude price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard $36.5 Million applies. The project is scheduled to have a period of performance of two hundred and eighty-five (285) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation (including any/all specifications and drawings) will be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov/) on or about November 1, 2017. The bid opening is approximately scheduled for December 6, 2017. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through shall be conducted for this project and the time and date will be announced in the solicitation. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bid, the bidder must represent that it is a SDVOSB concern, a small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to the acquisition, and is CVE verified for eligibility in the VIP database.
