Description
Sources Sought Cable/Internet Services in Fairfax, VA This is a sources sought announcement solely for the purpose of conducting market research to assist the Virginia Army National Guard in determining the acquisition strategy and identifying potential sources. This announcement is for information and planning purposes and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This announcement does not constitute a Request for Quote, Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid. Interested vendors will not be reimbursed for any costs associated with responding to this announcement. In 2016, the Virginia Army National Guard awarded a contract to Cox Virginia Telcom, LLC to install the necessary infrastructure and equipment required to establish internet service for the Data Processing Unit (DPU) Readiness Center (RC) located in Fairfax, VA. The award also included commercial business internet and cable services. The installation is complete and the contract for internet service has since expired. Market research is being conducted to determine which vendors are able to provide internet/cable services with the existing infrastructure and equipment or if new installation will be required. Requirement: Cable and internet services at the Fairfax Armory in Virginia. The commercial broadband service must have statically assigned Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, minimum data transfer rates of 300 Mbps download and 40 Mbps upload, and unlimited data transfer. The business level cable television must have a channel package which contains local and national news channels, provided in high definition, with four digital cable boxes. The NAICS Code is 517311, Wired Telecommunication Carriers, with a small business size of 1,500 employees. Vendors are encouraged to submit information relative to their potential of fulfilling this requirement. Multiple awards will not be considered. Interested parties who have the capability to meet the identified requirement should respond to this notice by email to betsy.l.lawrie.mil@mail.mil no later than 4:00 p.m. ET, 25 October 2017.
