- Description
- a. This is Amendment 0001 to Request for Information HM0476-17-High_Density_Pixel_Level_Processing. b. The date and time for receipt of information is hereby changed to 17 November 2017, 3:00PM EST. c. Responses to questions received regarding this RFI are provided below: 1) Can you characterize the image/pixel processing workload requirements? Response: Workload will vary by application, NGA is interested in multiple applications for high density processing and is seeking information about processors capable of supporting a wide spectrum of demanding applications. 2) What are the range of image sizes you need to process? Response: The Government anticipates image sizes ranging from Megapixel and Gigapixel with the potential for Terapixel in the future. 3) What is the incoming image/pixel capture bandwidth requirements? Response: Bandwidth requirements will vary by application (see response to Question #1). Potential examples include images generated for panchromatic, full color, false color, spectral, and photon counting applications. 4) What are the latency requirements from pixel capture to output product? Response: See response to Question #1. Applications will scope latency, ranging from minutes to seconds. 5) What is the range of image tile sizes for processing? Response: See response to Question #1. Examples include but are not limited to a range that spans 4K x 4K through 10K x 10K. 6) What is the time frame for deployment of a solution? Response: Acquisition sensitive. We cannot provide information that may inadvertently favor any potential respondent to potential future acquisition initiatives. c. This RFI will also be posted on the Classified Acquisition Research Center (ARC), in order to allow the submission of responses containing classified information. The Classified ARC is only accessible to those with a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance. If you have a TS/SCI email address and network, but have not previously registered for the Classified ARC, you can do so by following the steps below: 1. On an unclassified system, go to https://acq.westfields.net. 2. Click 'Register' on the top right corner of the page, which will provide you first with an unclassified ARC account. 3. When you register, use your classified email address as you will not be able to access your classified account without it. 4. Validate your account by clicking on the link you will be sent via email. 5. Your classified ARC account will be created and accessible after two (2) business days. 6. After two (2) business days have passed, you will be able to log into your classified account using the same email and password you used to register on the unclassified system. 7. Access the classified IC ARC via https://acq.nro.ic.gov only using a classified system up to TS/SCI (NMIS, NSAnet, CWE, AWAN, CWAN, JWICS, etc). 8. You can find this announcement under 'NGA Announcements', listed as HM0476-17-High_Pixel_Level_Processing. 9. If you do not have access to a TS network, but possess a TS/SCI clearance, you can arrange a visit to our reading room by calling 703-230-6100.
