Description
This acquisition will be sole source to Calculex Inc, 132 W Las Cruces Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001-1231 (Cage Code 0D6N8). The Calculex is the original OEM of the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and the Recorder Integrated Processor and Router (RIPR) This will be a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Repair contract for depot-level repair of the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) Part Number (P/N) 0300056-001, National Stock Number (NSN): 6610-01-648-3516FX, and the Recorder Integrated Processor and Router (RIPR) Part Number (P/N) 0300066-001, National Stock Number (NSN): 5836-01-633-1211FX. BEST ESTIMATED QUANTITY (BEQ): basic and each out year ordering period have a BEQ of 40 each. FUNC: The FDR is an Airborne Data Recorder (ADR) applicable to the F-15E, and the RIPR is an ADR applicable to the F-15C/D. The FDR and RIPR Airborne data recorder aircraft interfaces are custom designed and utilized to record data required to validate aircraft configurations and ensure that specifications are met related to design, performance, and safety requirements. The FDR and RIPR are intricate and critical elements of the test missions performed by AFTC and DOD installations across the CONUS. The FDR and RIPR are used to assist in mishap investigation boards, provide high fidelity fleet life management capability, and support the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP). The FDR and RIPR are modified versions of the Calculex Modular Non-volatile Solid State Recorder (MONSSTR) Model CSR-2300(V2). The modifications meet software and firmware integration requirements for the F-15 mission. This action will result in the award of a one year basic plus four one year ordering periods. There will be a line item for No Fault Found (NFF), Beyond Economical Repair (BER) and Over and Above. Authority for requirements is 10 U.S.C. 2304© (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources, and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
