Description

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM OVERTON BROOKS VAMC Background: A reverse osmosis system is needed in Sterile Processing Decontamination area for cleaning and rinsing of reusable medical equipment. The treated water will be plumbed to 2 Washer Disinfectors, 1 ultrasonic washer and 1 3 bay erogonomic sink. Water quality is pertinent in the cleaning of reusable medical equipment/ instruments. This equipment will meet the VA standard requirement for cleaning and rinsing of reusable medical equipment. Scope. The Reverse Osmosis System is to be plumbed to Steris CaviWave Ultrasonic Washers, Cavi--15W-E and Cavi-20WRD-E and Steris Washer Disinfector, Reliance SynergyWasher Disinfectors currently in use in Sterilie Processing Service Decontamination area. Installation of the system is required. No training is needed. Specifications/Characteristics: The Shreveport VAMC Sterile Processing Service is in need of 1 AmeriWater R03 with 185 gallon tank or equal brand Reverse Osmosis System with the following salient characteristics: Pre-carbon block filter Anti-scalant feed Controller with conductivity of feed and product water Disinfection cycle Storage tank with sealed lid and pump Deionizer polisher with monitor and alarm Low feed pressure system shutdown with alarm High conductivity alarm Storage tank empty pump shutdown One 1 ½ floor drain or sink Distribution pump output 30GPM @ 30 PSI No larger than 102 W x 72 D x 72 H Blend valve assembly 2200 GPD Must be compatible with Steris CaviWave Ultrasonic Washers, Cavi--15W-E and Cavi-20WRD-E and Steris Washer Disinfector, Reliance SynergyWasher Disinfectors currently in use in Sterilie Processing Service Delivery. 510 E.
