Description
Further Instructions - JSP Site Visit Responses to Questions DATES: Joint Service Provider (JSP) will host a Reverse Industry Day event for JSP staff on October 25 thru 27th, 2017 at the Pentagon located in Arlington, VA. REVERSE INDUSTRY DAY OVERVIEW: The draft agenda for individual vendor presentations is as follows: 1. Introduction, Company Overview, and SDN Capability (~15-20 min) 2. Vendor presentation on published questions (~20-30 min) REVERSE INDUSTRY DAY QUESTIONS: 1. Describe the overall architecture of your SDN controller. Include in your response an emphasis on how the architecture will enable you to add functionality over time; how automation/orchestration platforms (code based). 2. What protocols do you support between the control layer and the infrastructure layer? If OpenFlow is supported, what versions have been implemented? What required features, if any, of the supported version are not included in the implementation? Indicate which of the optional features are supported. Describe any significant vendor specific extensions that have been made. How much of the value of your SDN architecture is derived from the extensions, and are the extensions open for other vendors for integration, interoperability, etc. 3. Describe the extent of your management solution. For example, does it manage just the SDN solution you provide? Does the same tool also manage any traditional network components that you also provide? To what degree will it manage networks (SDN or traditional) that are provided by other vendors? Are the applications JITC certified? 4. The opportunities SDN brings to security include the ability to implement network access control (NAC), authorization, DDoS attack mitigation, packet inspection, behavioral based analysis and to recognize suspicious flows at the edge of the network. For example, suspicious flows can be directed to a series of virtual or physical security devices for detailed inspection and mitigation. If a problem is detected in the network, the attack can be blocked by diverting and isolating malicious traffic. Describe your SDN specific security solutions that protect the SDN from intrusions and attacks. Describe in terms of specific use cases (e.g., how the specific SDN technology can be leveraged to identify, shorten, or thwart Advanced Persistent Threats. 5. How does your proposed solution implement netowrk virtualization? Include in your answer whether overlays are used; what protocols are supported; how the tunneling control function is implemented. How does your solution leverage multiple hybrid cloud enviornment with multiple virtual tenant networks (VTNs), is a controller or cluster of controllers dedicated to each VTN? How are the VTN secured and isolated? SUBMISSION INFORMATION. No change. See original RFI. Answers to questions that were due by 10/11/2017 at 12:00pm Eastern Time are attached. Further administrative instructions are attach for those companies that have a confirmed schedule day and time by JSP. NO MORE QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS NOTICE MAY BE SUBMITTED.
