- The USDA - Forest Service WO-AQM Job Corps Support Branch has identified the need for removal and replacement of the roof; on the Cass Civilian Conservation Center, Staff Housing Building and the Staff Apartment Building also located on the Cass Civilian Center, Ozark, AR. 72949-9030. Services Required: remove and dispose of existing roofing material. Remove all waste and nails from the area. Replace roof jacks, flashing and boots. Install drip edge and place 30# felt paper and moisture guard. Shingle with architectural shingles. Repair water damaged decking, soffit and fascia. Undercoat and paint with close match midgrade exterior paint. Staff Housing: approximately 3600 square feet. Staff Apartment: approximately 4000 square feet. Optional Item: 29 gauge metal roofing The Contractor shall furnish all the necessary supervision, management, personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities. This requirement will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB), under FAR Part 14. The IFB will result in a single firm fixed-price award from the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238160. The size standard is $15.0 This requirement is set aside to Small Businesses as authorized by FAR 19.502-2 (b). In accordance with FSAR 4G13.106-2 additional preference may be given to potential vendors or suppliers if they are 8(a) or other small disadvantaged businesses, even if the resulting pricing may be higher than the lowest quote received. All vendors are encouraged to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. The specifications WILL NOT be provided in a paper hard copy format or CD ROM, and will only be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is https://www.fbo.gov. Registration and downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective offerors are required to register on the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website for this procurement. Contractor will remove two (2) inoperable air conditioning units (HVAC) and replace with two (2) new units from the roof on the Dining Hall Building at the Angell Job Corps Center. Units shall be same or equal as existing (Sterling 150 mbh make up air units). Contractor shall provide curb height extensions for new units to keep the units off the roof surface. Contractor shall provide TAB (Test, Adjust and Balance) for the new units (excludes existing duct work and vents)..
