36C25018Q0054 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Hologic Reagents Cleveland The Department of Veterans Affairs, The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334516 with a small business size standard of 1,000. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Hologic, LLP, 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752-3020 for ThinPrep Pap Tests. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, and Indefinite Quantity Contract with a base year and four (4) option years if applicable. The ThinPrep Pap test is used for screening cervical disease, HPV and sexually transmitted infections, which are used on the ThinPrep 2000 equipment. Other persons may identify their interest by responding to this requirement by Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.   A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
