36C25018Q0060 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Cepheid Reagents Cleveland The Department of Veterans Affairs, The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334516 with a small business size standard of 1,000. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Cepheid, 904 Caribbean Drive, Sunnydale, CA 94089 for Cepheid Reagents. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract with a base year and four (4) option years if applicable. The reagents are needed for various molecular tests on VA patients including MRSA, CDIFF, STD, and to screen for genetic mutation and flu testing. Other persons may identify their interest to respond to this requirement by Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.   A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation is available at this time.
