All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to assess industry capabilities and identify competitive sources able provide preventive maintenance inspections and emergency repair services for VA owned high-tech medical equipment and software identified in the table below. All equipment is housed at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center located at 510 E. Stoner Ave., Shreveport, LA. The government will be seeking a base period with four 12 month options. Any information obtained in response to this notice may be used in development of the final work statement, cost estimates or terms and conditions of the actual solicitation. The anticipated NAICS code is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Submit responses to the Contracting Officer by Noon (CT) Friday October 27, 2017. Can you provide proof that your technicians/engineers are trained, certified or otherwise and/ competent to work on this equipment? Does your company offer these services on GSA, NAC or any other IDIQ contract? If so, what is the contract number? Is your company authorized by the manufacturer to work on this equipment and software? If so, provide proof from the manufacture. What is the socio-economic status of your company? Does your company provide support for any of the stated equipment at other VA facilities? If so, please provide contract & contact information. For the equipment listed in above what is the recommended PM schedule(s) (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual)? What are the projected unit costs for the service schedule identified in question 5? Do you have a sample PWS you can share? Do you have a sample QASP you can Share? Do you have sample or recommended evaluation criteria you can share? What is the estimated annual cost of maintenance for this type of equipment? Can your company provide pre-priced labor rates for emergency service? This would only be billed an actual emergency call was placed.
