- This is a sources sought notice for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, management, and financial capability of offerors to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to provide a paging system at the Hoover Dam. The paging system shall provide Private Branch Exchange (PBX) interface to a paging controller that will send a Post Office Code Standardisation Advisory Group (POCSAG) paging signal to four remote transmitters simultaneously via a two wire circuit to be received by individual alpha numeric pagers on and within the Dams. The paging system will be used to provide emergency and routine notification to Hoover, Davis, and Parker Dam. Paging System Requirements: Local area network interface to be accessed from any computer on network to send message with a local control station which can be sued to create user programmable alphanumeric messages, control up to 10,000 remote devices and perform maintenance. PBX interface shall be Capable of sending preprogrammed messages using a telephone 4-compatible with current alpha numeric pagers up to four lines with time stamp, up to six activation codes (ID'S), POCSAG narrow band and UHF 415.025 MHZ. The contractor shall comply with all local Nevada building codes and National Electric Code (such as National Electric Code and NFPA 70). The work will require removal of the current system to include recovering any data from the old system that can be used to populate the new system as well as furnish and install a new paging system. Field instruction/training in programing, maintenance and architecture of the newly installed paging system is required. All products are subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.225-3 Buy American Act. Interested sources are welcome to submit a capability statement package to include the following information: 1.Capability statement shall address the equipment proposed and the offeror's ability to meet the performance and salient characteristics. For all proposed products, please provide data specification sheets so we can see that the proposed products meet the performance requirements and salient characteristics. 2.Provide your business name, address, point of contact, phone number and email address. 3.Provide your business size & type: 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business or Large Business, etc. This information will be used to assist the Contracting Officer in terms of developing the appropriate procurement strategy for this acquisition and for purposes of market research. All businesses, regardless of size, capable of providing these items are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought. This notice is designed to locate responsible sources that have an interest, and have the ability to perform the services described herein. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334210 - Private Branch Exchange (PBX) equipment manufacturing and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. Firms may also provide recommendation for use of an alternate NAICS code. Interested sources should submit a capability statement on or before 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), November 3, 2017. Submittals will be reviewed and considered by Reclamation during the solicitation planning process. All responses to this sources sought notice shall be provided to Cha-on Gordon, Contract Specialist, via e-mail at cpgordon@usbr.gov.
