THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following equipment: Brand Name or Equal to iX i-Speed 221 camera system to include laptop, installation and training Salient Characteristics XSens MVN Studio BIOMECH Software Platform Full body wireless motion capture, kinematics and kinetics Software system that can calculate joint angles (kinematics) from body worn inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors. Software package that calculates the joint angles of the head, trunk, waist, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle joints. Ability to calibrate the model to be subject specific Real-time visualization of subject motion Playback and editing of motion capture data Streaming motion data on local area network (UDP) Software system that organizes motion capture trials by subject, session, condition, and trial. Batch processing Integration options for: Siemens PLM Software (Jack and Process Simulate Human) Dassault Systems Delmia and Catia via Haption ViVeTech ViVeHuman Software C-Motion s Visual 3D Wireless Motion Capture A body worn sensor system that can be taken out of the lab (NOT camera based system that only works indoors) Does NOT require a body suit to be worn. Easy to done and doff sensors No wires connecting sensors together or to a body worn transmitter. Wireless body worn sensors that stream data to a base station or computer wirelessly. Wireless update rates of: 120 Hz: one to five sensors 100 Hz: nine sensors 80 Hz: ten sensors 60 Hz: ten to twenty sensors Small sensor size Each sensor must weigh 16 g or less Each sensor must be less than 1.9 inches in length, 1.2 inches in width, and 0.6 inches in thickness Able to synchronize with third party devices Four or more BNC connectors to time sync with third party devices TTL pulses at 0-3.3 volts Software configurable Inertial Measurement Unit Specifications 9 degree of freedom measurements with large full scale range. 3 axes angular velocity +- 2000 deg/s 3 axes acceleration +- 160 m/S2 3 axes magnetic field +- 1.9 Gauss High static and dynamic accuracy Roll and pitch static accuracy: 0.5 deg RMS or less Heading static accuracy: 1.0 deg RMS or less Roll and pitch dynamic accuracy: 0.75 deg RMS or less Heading dynamic accuracy: 1.5 deg RMS or less Large full scale range Long communication range Open space range of 50 meters or more Office space range of 20 meters or more High sampling rate of 1000 Hz or more Latency of 30 ms or less Buffer time of 10 s or move Battery life for continuous use of 6 hour or more Potential candidates having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated equipment are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Laura Davis at laura.davis5@va.gov no later than November 2, 2017. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; suggested equipment information including manufacturer, model and delivery schedule; whether system is presently offered on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract.
