- The Regional Health Contracting Office-Atlantic, Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Fort Bragg, NC is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and technical capability of qualified businesses to fulfill the requirement for Decipher Prostate Cancer Testing. This sources sought is considered all or none. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAI S) code assigned to this procurement is 621511. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to include, but not limited to: provide clinical reference laboratory services for the purpose of providing prognostic and predictive treatments for specific cancers thru DECIPHER, PROSTATE for BIOPSY and POST-OP testing. Testing must be performed on formalin fixed and paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue. Must measure 22 gene expression for prognostic and predictive value in FFPE blocks by qRT-PCR and microarray technology. WAMC does not have the capability to perform complex, low-volume genetic testing for the Department of Pathology. The vendor shall send testing kits to the WAMC Department of Pathology, and a pathologist will review the case and select an appropriate paraffin-embedded tissue block for send-out testing. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide this equipment, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
