- Quality Assurance (QASP) Drawings Technical Specifications Solicitation W912P5-18-B-0002 This Solicitation Notice was previously initiated in error under W912P518R00002. This is a Solicitation Notice for transportation services encompassing barge delivery and placement of approximately 5,150 tons of riprap and aggregate, and approximately 5,200 square yards of geotextile fabric for bank stabilization on the Tennessee River adjacent to Moccasin Bend National Archaeological District in Chattanooga, TN. The placement is to be accomplished from the river. Peripheral tasks include very limited excavation, clearing and grubbing; with debris and an estimated 1,170 cubic yards of excavated material removed via barge. All the work under this contract will be described within the drawings and technical specifications to be provided when the Solicitation is released, on or about 27 October 2017. This contract falls under NAICS code 483211 (Inland Water Freight Transportation) and PSC Code V115 (Vessel Freight). PRE-BID SITE VISIT: An organized site visit has been scheduled. Offerors should inspect the job site prior to submitting a bid. Offerors should take such other steps as may be reasonably necessary to ascertain the nature and location of the work and the general and local conditions that can affect the work or the cost thereof. Failure to do so will not relieve offerors from the responsibility for properly estimating the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. The Government assumes no responsibility for any understanding or representations concerning conditions made by any of its officers, agents or employees, unless included in the solicitation, the specifications or related documents. An organized site visit has been scheduled for 2 November 2017, 2:00 PM local time (Eastern Time Zone) Participants will meet at: Brown's Ferry Federal Road Hiking Area, Moccasin Bend Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37405.
