- NEST Contract Draft Performance Work Statement. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Shared Services Center (NSSC) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for its Information Technology (IT) end-user services requirements to support NASA headquarters, the ten NASA field centers, and other performance sites. NASA's current end-user environment includes Base Services to include Email and Calendaring, Active Directory Services, IT Security, etc, and Seat Services which includes desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices (cellular, smartphone, and pagers) and multi-functional and desktop printers, the majority which are currently managed in an enterprise seat service model. The new contract is titled NASA End-user Services and Technologies (NEST). This notice relates to the Sources Sought Notice (Reference Number 80NSSC17R0003), posted on FBO in July 2017. The Government intends to award a single award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Firm-Fixed Price contract with the ability to order Firm-Fixed Price Level-of-Effort Services. This procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, using full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541512, Computer Systems Design Services with a size standard of $27.5 million. A Draft RFP (DRFP) is scheduled to be released on or about November 22, 2017. The DRFP will be posted to FedBizOpps. An "Industry Day" is tentatively planned for December 6, 2017 in the James E. Webb Auditorium located at NASA HQ, 300 E. Street Southwest Washington, DC 20546-0001 Additional information will be included in the draft RFP. The anticipated release date of the final RFP is on or about January 29, 2018. This synopsis in not a solicitation and the Government is not requesting proposals; this should not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web page, www.fbo.gov. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps web page for the release of the solicitation and amendment(s), if any. A NEST website has been established at https://www.nssc.nasa.gov/nest. Historical and background information will be posted on this website as it is made available. The Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to this synopsis for review. Changes may be made until the final RFP is released.
