Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Contract: The U.S. Air Force, Material Command intends to negotiate and issue a sole source award to obtain six (6) F-22 APU "Rake Assemblies", P/N: 7416041-100 for use on depto mantenance at Hill AFB. The units are proprietary to the OEM, Honeywell with support for a sole source purchase supported by T.O. mandate requiring the use of Rake Assemblies provided by Honeywell. Honeywell is the only known source that can provide the Rake Assemblies for the F-22 Apu exhaust tailpipes. U.S. Air Force Material Command intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR part 12 and 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interest parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses should be in writing via e-mail, fax or mail prior to the 10 th of Nov 2017 at 1630 hrs MST.
