Additionally, the Government reserves the right to revise specifications, and refine contract requirements, before the release of any associated solicitation. Objective: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, Construction Team 2 is contemplating a solicitation for Emergent Structural Repairs of the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Building Crawlspace at the Hampton VA Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. The purpose of this Request for Information is to identify SDVOSB and/or VOSB sources, and/or other small business/large business sources, for market research purposes only, to support the development of an acquisition strategy. Draft copies of the drawings, Statement of Work and Specifications are provided as attachments to this notice. Please read through all work requirements, as well as warranty and inspection requirements associated with the Draft Documents. B.1. A list of Submittals anticipated for this project is provided as an attachment. The list provided may not include all submittal requirements of the Specifications. The Statement of Bid Items appears in Section 01 00 00, Paragraph 1.2., and estimated Bid Quantities are provided elsewhere in the Specification. B.2. The following is a summary list of some other important elements of the anticipated project: B.2.1. Contractor required to provide Critical Path Method (CPM) format for Project Schedule (See Specification Section 01 00 00, Paragraph 1.4.A. and FAR Clause 52.236-15), B.2.2. Materials and Equipment staging shall be in quantities sufficient for not more than two (2) work days (See Specification Section 01 00 00, Paragraph 1.5.F.2.), B.2.3. Lay Down Area identified in the Specifications and Drawings (see Specification Section 01 00 00, Paragraph 1.5.G.) B.2.4. Disposal terms are identified in Specification Section 01 00 00, Paragraph 1.9. B.2.5. As-Built Drawings are required under Section 01 00 00, Paragraph 1.13., B.2.6. Asbestos Containing Materials information is provided in the drawings and Specifications Sections 02 82 11 and 02 82 13.19, B.2.7. A dedicated Superintendent will be required by FAR clause 52.236-6, Superintendence by the Contractor. B.2.8. Anticipated Construction disciplines associated with this project include: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Concrete Repair and Shotcrete. How to respond: C.1. Provide examples of completed projects for similar types of work, including contract number, period of performance, dollar value, summary of work completed and a customer Point of Contact (POC). C.2. Provide one (1) sample each of a Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule, Quality Control Plan, Construction Safety & Health Plan and Asbestos Hazard Abatement Plan similar in purpose to what is required by the contract.
